Weaver Park

Less than a mile north of Skinner Street, on the Pinellas Trail, you will find Weaver Park. The beautiful waterfront park features a fishing pier, two picnic pavilions, a nature-themed playground and restrooms. Thanks to a generous donation from the Dunedin Youth Guild, your child's imagination can run wild as they climb playground equipment inspired by nature including trees, butterflies, ant hills, caterpillars and giant bird eggs. The playground is completely ADA accessible and designed for all abilities.

The Kiwanis Fit Zone, located on the east side of Weaver Park, offers a unique opportunity to take your workout outdoors! It's free to use and features 11 units for a complete body workout. Each unit works on a hydraulic system so people of all fitness levels can use it. Some exercise units are specifically designed for use with wheelchairs, as well as equipment that can be adapted for both able-bodied users or those with assistive devices. Thanks to the generous donation from the Kiwanis Club of Dunedin and the Florida Department of Health-Pinellas County, we can all experience a fun and unique way to exercise and get outdoors!

Living Shoreline Project

The goal of the Weaver Park Living Shoreline project is to achieve a stable shoreline that is more resilient and increases habitat. This is a benefit to the community as the project increases safety at Weaver Park along the shoreline, improves our natural ecology, provides education and engagement, and enhances the aesthetic beauty of the park. The purpose of developing a living shoreline at Weaver Park is to stabilize the shoreline for safety, increase habitat, and act as a model of sustainability and resiliency in our community and region. This fits into the City's Strategic Theme D for Environmental Resiliency and Sustainability.
