Dunedin for Youth Scholarship Fund
The Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department offers the Dunedin for Youth Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to young children and teenagers of Dunedin who come from families in need. This support enables these children to participate in summer camps and other recreational programs. The scholarship is funded by donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations contributed to The George J. Koutsourais Dunedin for Youth Scholarship Fund. This fund was established in memory of former Mayor/Commissioner Manuel G. Koutsourais’ son, through a resolution passed by the Dunedin City Commission. The Dunedin for Youth Scholarship Fund aims to help children develop teamwork, life skills, self-confidence, responsibility, healthy lifestyles, perseverance, and friendships.
