The City of Dunedin is currently out of reclaimed water due to extremely high demand during the dry season. As a result, customers should expect very low water pressure and limited reclaimed water availability over the next few days.

Reclaimed water, which is primarily used for landscape irrigation, is a combination of treated wastewater from homes and businesses and byproduct water from the City's reverse osmosis water treatment plant. This facility operates year-round, 24/7, and is managed by skilled operators, mechanics and electricians dedicated to providing high-quality reclaimed water.

Reclaimed water is stored in four tanks located throughout the City before being pumped to customers. At this time, all four tanks are experiencing a shortage due to continued high demand. The system is expected to recover as supplies are replenished. City staff are actively monitoring conditions and will provide updates as availability improves.
