The Dunedin Solid Waste Division provides collection of household garbage (automated green cart) and yard debris/bulky items (manually) once per week. The collection of mixed recycling (automated blue cart) is currently provided by WastePro once per week.
Residential trash, recycling, and yard waste pickup is done once a week. To find your pickup day, use the street scheduler below. For commercial or temporary pickups, please contact the Solid Waste Division at 727-298-3215.

To avoid attraction and infestation of bugs and rodents, please bag your household garbage before placing in the cart.
The Dunedin Solid Waste Division provides manual collection of yard waste and bulk debris once per week on your regular garbage/recycling collection day. Place bulk items at least 3 feet away from automated automated carts and place them on the curb by 6:30 a.m.

If the yard clean out is substantial, or taking the time to bundle and containerize the yard debris at the curb to adhere to monthly service parameters is not feasible or undesirable, fee based claw services are available to customers. For more info, see Temporary Dumpsters/Claw Services.

The Solid Waste Division insures that appliances containing ozone depleting gases, like Freon, are recovered and recycled properly.
Multi-family collection (bill paid to association) of large appliances (along with other bulky items) must be routed through approval of the community's HOA, management company, or representative of the utility account.
The Department of Solid Waste’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Program diverts household hazardous waste from the municipal solid waste stream for proper recycling and disposal. The HHW Program currently collects chemicals through the following programs for free:
As of June 1st, 2019 Dunedin Solid Waste is no longer renewing or accepting any new accounts in the Pinellas County Unincorporated area. Residents of the "open market" areas have their choice of private haulers. Pinellas County Solid Waste offers a database of available haulers which can found below.

Are you doing a large renovation or construction that requires a larger service level than your regular garbage roll cart holds? The Solid Waste Division provides various size temporary clean-up containers and claw truck services for building materials, which includes remodeling projects, fence replacements, etc. Solid Waste is not equipped to accommodate containers for landscaping debris: concrete, dirt and stone.
