Kellogg Mansion Immersive Experience

Built in 1925
Constructed in 1925 by Detroit property developer Ephraim Frischkorn as the home he would stay in while he developed land in Dunedin, FL.

Purchased by W.K. Kellogg
The founder of the Kellogg’s cereal company purchased the house in 1934. He spent just a few seasons in the home.

Deeded to Kellogg Foundation
W.K. Kellogg deeded the house to his charitable foundation in 1937. The foundation leased it to the U.S. Marine Corps Amphibian Tractor Unit during WWII.

New owners and changes
Sold in 1946, the home would go through several owners who made many modifications including commissioning the distinctive artwork in the home. 

Preservation efforts
In 2021 it was learned that the mansion was to be demolished. Unable to save the physical structure, a 3D preservation plan was put in place.

The Kellogg Mansion Immersive Experience is a traveling exhibit that embraces cutting-edge 3D and VR technology to take you on a rich and unforgettable journey to learn more about the history of Dunedin’s Kellogg Mansion and the community efforts to preserve it.

The Kellogg Mansion Immersive Experience opened at the Dunedin Public Library from November 2022 - June 2023. The exhibit's next destination will be with the University of South Florida Center for Digital Heritage and Geospatial Information.
