As hurricane season approaches, the City of Dunedin invites residents, businesses, and visitors to take proactive steps toward safety and preparedness by attending the 2025 Hurricane Preparedness Expo. This free public event will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at City Hall.

The expo will bring together a wide range of local, county, and state experts who will share strategies on hurricane preparedness, emergency management, flood mitigation, debris collection, resiliency planning, and more.

“The Hurricane Expo provides resources and education for those looking to be proactive before this hurricane season,” said Natalie Gass, the City’s Sustainability Program Manager. “It’s a great way to hear and speak with the experts and learn about creative strategies and solutions.”

Doors open at 9 a.m., with presentations and a panel Q&A session beginning at 10 a.m. The special guest speaker is Mike Boylan, of Mikes Weather Page, known nationwide for his real-time weather updates and storm tracking.

The event will also include informational booths from:

  • U.S. Flood Control
  • Dunedin Chamber of Commerce
  • Tetra Tech
  • Flow Stop
  • Lowe’s
  • Andrew’s Tree Care
  • Master Restoration
