Wreaths Across America Day

Due to the forecasted weather, the ceremony for Wreaths Across America is canceled, however the placing of the remembrance wreaths will be held on Monday, December 18 at 9:30 am at the Dunedin Municipal Cemetery. Volunteers are still needed. Please email Karen Mariscal at Kamariscal@gmail.com

 

Wreaths Across America Day will be recognized at the Dunedin Municipal Cemetery to remember and honor our veterans through the laying of "Remembrance Wreaths" on the graves of our local veterans whose service dates as far back as the Civil War. Come join Dunedin's Mayor, City Commissioners, and area residents as we REMEMBER, HONOR & TEACH.

We'd like to have enough wreaths to place the overage on veteran graves at Clearwater Municipal Cemetery. We generally don't lack in volunteers, we lack in wreaths, so please spread the word far and wide to help our location to lay a wreath at every veteran grave in Dunedin and to have enough left to do the same at Clearwater Municipal Cemetery as they do not participate in Wreaths Across America Day. You can help us to reach our goal by sponsoring a wreath for $17. You can also volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony by clicking the “Volunteer” button next to the cemetery name on the event website. While visiting the event website, don't forget to click the "Invite" button to invite your friends and family to the ceremony and to help sponsor a wreath at Dunedin's Historic Municipal Cemetery.
