Project Details

Phase 1 improved walkability and overall aesthetics on the south section of Main Street from Douglas Avenue to the Pinellas Trail. The project brings the sidewalk into compliance with federal handicap accessibility laws. The current cross-slope is too steep between building entrances and the existing curb. While they bring the sidewalk into compliance, they will be enhancing the sidewalk landscaping to replace brick paver sidewalk, replace curb, replace angled parking, redesign nature landscaping, new benches, trash cans, and bike racks. 

Future phases from 2024 will continue paver enhancements as existing streetscape needs enhancement.
